Hello, everyone! (And, stay tuned! More to come on this page!)

We have a bill that is currently in the NH State Senate regarding credentialing applications for insurances.

The way that the law stands right now, insurance companies have 45 calendar days to approve a clean and complete credentialing application. Practitioners are unable to bill as in-network providers until the credentialing and contracting phases are complete.

HB 507 would reduce the timeline of the credentialing approval to 30 calendar days, and mandates that insurance companies allow practitioners to bill in-network from the date that the credentialing application is approved, as opposed to clinicians having to wait until the the contracting phase is complete. Please note that

If this bill passes, it would significantly improve the timeliness of this process for mental health clinicians, and could increase access to mental health services across the state.

Here is the full text of the bill!

    Please weigh in on this!
